Modjoul tracks worker movements to improve safety |
Modjoul, a data invention and modeling startup, has developed an analytics solution to measure indoor forklift driver safety by tracking driver actions and identifying risky behaviours that could lead to safety incidents.
The solution comes in response to rising workplace risks identified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration which notes nearly 100 forklift-related deaths, 35,000 serious injuries and USD135 million in property damage and personal injuries each year.
"With the development of new analytics to measure safety metrics of forklift drivers, Modjoul is poised to dramatically change the safety of blue-collar workers," says CEO Eric Martinez.
Modjoul's wearable technology, a low-profile SmartBelt, is used to provide insight into employee safety and how employees perform at work. The SmartBelt can be easily incorporated into part of an employee's uniform and uses sensors to gather data, such as walking, bending, twisting, driving and more.
"Modjoul's SmartBelt (keeps) workers smarter, safer and more productive," says Rob Loose, safety director of MAU Workforce Solutions.
Founded in 2016, Modjoul is committed to keeping employees safe and productive by empowering them through data analytics.
