In the wake of Multiton ceasing operations, Mobile has secured a number of their old accounts who were seeking alternative suppliers. These dealers were suddenly left without branded stacker and pallet truck product lines. To make matters worse, Multiton indicated that after a couple of months after closing it would not be servicing any aftermarket requirements for any of its products already in the field.
Mobile's reputation as a quality materials handling equipment manufacturer has largely contributed to the dealer switchover. Mobile's demo policy was another factor that assisted a number of dealers in their decision making process. The Mobile in-house demo program enables a dealer, or their customer, to try a Mobile product in their facility with no obligation except the applicable freight costs. If the customer is satisfied with the product, they simply keep the product and it is invoiced accordingly. If not, it is returned to Mobile inventory.
Other contributing factors for the switch were: sales support - Mobile has a long history of in-house product and sales training to assist the dealers with their sales efforts; standard product diversity - Mobile offers the most diversified standard pallet truck and stacker lines in the market; custom capabilities - in addition to the standard lines, Mobile has the most comprehensive custom design and build capabilities in the industry; aftermarket support - Mobile considers customer service it's number one priority and is confident that dealers will find its staff and programs second to none.
In an industry where manufacturers are either being bought up or phased out by offshore competition, Mobile has been supplying quality products and service for almost 50 years. Mobile invites any ex-Multiton dealers, as well as any other competitor dealers, to take the Mobile challenge: based on similar quality and features, Mobile will not be undersold on any pallet truck.
