Meijer Handling Solutions B.V. has something to celebrate again this year. Last year we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the family business, in 2020 the 40-year anniversary of the KOOI®ReachForks, and now we can already announce that sometime this year 100,000 sets of telescopic forks will have been produced since 1980.
An unprecedented number with some extraordinary production figures:
- a staggering 200,000 forks have been processed,
- deep drilling length from Amsterdam to Milan,
- 400,000 liters of oil in the ReachForks delivered,
- around 3,600 kg tons of chips have been drilled out
- the area of 25 soccer fields of sheet material for outer sleeves.
Undoubtedly these figures are amazingly impressive!
Who could have imagined that in 1980 when Meijer had produced the first ReachForks for the company KOOI, which at the time had to be able to put down the load out in front of the forklift (KOOI-AAP-truck-mounted forklift). The high-quality KOOI®ReachForks are now widely known in logistics and material handling. We are curious about which Meijer importer will be ordering the 100.000th ReachForks set and which forklift dealer and end user we can highlight this year.
KOOI® ReachForks can be used for double-deep pallet stacking, loading and unloading trucks and trains, for dual pallet load transport and as extensions for the handling of pallets when a variety of different pallet sizes are used. Depending of the application we can include one or two cylinders in each fork. For double-deep pallet stacking we ues, the “Single-Range” and those hydraulic extendable forks can be extended and retracted as fast as pantograph systems which are still be used mainly in North America.
The sliding fork attachments are fitted with an integrated synchronization system allowing the ReachForks to be extended and retracted in unison. It is even possible to fit these telescopic forks with cameras to aid overhead pallet stacking.
