Save valuable time and reduce the risk of accidents with a camera system for forklifts. The digital Mid-mast view camera is a robust and compact camera monitor system from Stoneridge-Orlaco. The system provides the driver of a forklift or reach truck with a perfect and High Definition view of the fork. The camera monitor system therefore increases safety in the warehouse, saves time when moving goods and creates a more ergonomic environment for drivers.

Increases safety
Poor visibility around forklifts is one of the most common causes of accidents in the workplace. Cables, chains, bars and the mast itself clutter the visual field in front of the mast and fork carriage. The load also can partially or totally obscure the front view. Fitting cameras to a forklift increases safety by giving the driver a view of obstacles and of areas that would otherwise be blind spots, helping to prevent accidents. The driver can see directly on the monitor whether or not the fork is appropriately positioned, so that the ends can be inserted into the pallet openings correctly. A camera therefore prevents accidents as well as damage to the truck, the racks and the load.

Improves ergonomics
The ergonomically positioned monitor allows drivers to adopt a natural viewing position, which means they no longer have to look up at an awkward angle. The image on the monitor gives the driver a clear view of the fork. This relieves strain on the neck and shoulder muscles, reducing absence caused by sickness and increasing productivity.

Robust digital quality
The Mid-mast view system consists of a digital HMOS GMSL camera, a 7" HLED monitor and a dynamic cable. The versatile real-time digital camera is mounted on the mast cross-beam of the innermost mast section. The heavy-duty monitor that is mounted on the frame of the forklift truck's cab. The entire camera system is waterproof, shockproof and works in the most extreme temperatures (-40oF to +185oF / -40oC to +85oC). The camera system is therefore suitable for the most demanding of conditions, such as in cold stores.

Work twice as fast
The Mid-mast view system allows the driver to position the truck optimally as it provides a view of the forks after free lift of the machine. Since the camera 'looks' underneath the forks, the driver also has a good view of the beams when putting the pallet down. Thanks to the camera monitor system the driver has a better view, which saves time and increases productivity. A driver can work twice as fast using a camera system. The camera system therefore quickly pays for itself by reducing damage and increasing efficiency and driver comfort.
