South Korea’s Lotte Global Logistics has installed LiBiao Robotics’ tSort parcel sorting technology at its multi-user e-fulfilment facility in Seoul.

Lotte Global Logistics is upgrading its facility to ensure it can keep pace with demand from clients operating in Asia’s booming online fashion market.

The tSort system uses energy-efficient autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to automatically transfer a variety of products and package configurations to the designated divert chute or induction station.

LiBiao says the twin level tSort solution is able to process twice the volume of parcels over any given period with a smaller footprint than the conveyor system it replaces.

The system allows the addition or removal of robots, chutes and/or induction stations as necessary.

It’s also easy to relocate so third-party logistics (3PL) operators such as Lotte can adapt their intralogistics processes to meet the changing needs of their clients with minimal disruption to the business.
