Merthyr Tydfil, 28 June 2012 - Inland Motorways are booming and an EU wide phenomenon. Due to that the ports need specialized and powerful handling equipment. For this background Linde Heavy Truck Division has demonstrated its leading position in the Heavy Fork Lift and Container Handling Equipment by unveiling a wide range of new machines at a customer event at Weser Port in Minden and at Bobe Transport, Bad Salzuflen.The Weser Port of Minden - Ideally located on the cross roads
of the River Weser & the Midland Canal (Mittellandkanal), this excellent tri-modal (rail, road & river) facility was selected to showcase the new
Linde Barge Handler.

This machine has been specifically designed to operate in smaller facilities where manoeuvrability and minimised load pressure at the quay side is a priority. Due to the new spreader design, the 7 metre wheelbase, Tier 4 powered machine can deliver, 5 high stacking whilst providing 22 tonne negative lift in the 3rd row.
Further highlight was the prototype heavy-load forklift truck 1401 with 180 degree rotating cabin und new Tier IV engine.
The event was organised with Bobe Transport, Bad Salzuflen, in conjunction with
Linde Heavy Truck Division and the local Linde dealer: NEOTECHNIK.
