Liftking prepares its rough-terrain AF10s |
Liftking has started deliveries of 28 rough-terrain AF10s for the United States Air Force.
According to general manager Jeff Cockerton, the AF10 is one of Liftking's many specialty military trucks that has endured extreme testing including extreme climate exposure, dust and sand resistance, and testing in an ice accretion chamber. "They have also passed ROPS testing and various load and obstacle course testing," he says.
The trucks will be working at various camps around the world including Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg.
Liftking is also preparing more models for the Canadian and Dutch military which will be used to move supplies and containers around camps. "Both trucks also function as container handlers," he explains.
Cockerton says Liftking has been producing military equipment for the past 20+ years and the company
recently delivered its biggest truck to date - a 67,000 lb. (30,000 kg) LK67C rough-terrain container handler commissioned by the Defense Logistics Agency in Texas.
