Jungheinrich has acquired Industrial Truck Sales New Zealand Forklifts (ITS Forklifts) and established its 41st sales unit in New Zealand. The company will distribute its entire portfolio through the existing sales network and local partners in New Zealand. With the new location, Jungheinrich is strengthening its global market presence to support customers and partners in achieving their growth targets.

For Jungheinrich, the strategic acquisition of ITS Forklifts, one of the leading intralogistics providers in New Zealand, means an expansion of its direct sales network in the Asia Pacific region.

ITS Forklifts has been the exclusive partner for Jungheinrich products in New Zealand for more than 25 years and has many years of expertise in forklift sales and service.

Lars Brzoska, CEO of Jungheinrich AG, says: “We are delighted to expand our Jungheinrich family in New Zealand with ITS Forklifts after 25 years of successful cooperation. The acquisition allows us to offer our national and international customers as well as our partners an even more extensive product portfolio and the proven Jungheinrich service. We are very much looking forward to welcoming our new colleagues to the team. With their expertise and market knowledge, we will be even more successful together.”

ITS Forklifts has a strong position in the New Zealand market, supported by a well-established network of over 10 partner dealers. Jungheinrich will strengthen and further develop the relationship with dealers across New Zealand.

ITS Forklifts was created to import, market and distribute the range of TCM forklifts and associated products from Japan. In 1997, ITS Forklifts added Jungheinrich to its portfolio, which now also includes Flexi and Unicarriers.

Jungheinrich’s New Zealand acquisition follows the April 2015 purchase of a majority stake in NTP Forklifts Australia, one of the largest dealerships in the country.
