There was a strong positive sentiment at the recent MHEDA convention, and it looks like things are looking up on the global economic front.
This week, the United Nations Global Economic Monitoring Unit predicted that the global economy will expand in the next two years, spurred by stronger growth in the last six months and a modest recovery in trade and investment.
In its latest update, the UN notes "firm economic growth in many developed countries and strengthened prospects in countries in transition, with east and south Asia remaining the world's most dynamic regions".
The report is predicting economic growth of 2.7% this year and 2.9% in 2018.
There's no doubt that materials handling, as the sector that keeps things moving, will benefit from this growth, so it seems like we may be in for some better times ahead.
