When the results of the Brexit referendum emerged in June 2016, most in the materials handling industry took a wait-and-see approach.
Many hoped that, somehow, the result would be overturned.
That, however, was not the case and the process is now well and truly under way, with Britain this week formally filing Article 50, a letter to the European Union giving notice of the United Kingdom's intention to leave the EU.
All attention now shifts to the prospect of a new trade deal with Europe which will be crucial not only for equipment exports to Europe, but equally imports from the continent.
