Last year was a huge one. From the UK decision to leave the EU to the election of Donald Trump in the United States, there were so many surprises.
Materials handling went through its share of radical change, with the rise of Industry 4.0, the adoption of new energy technology and ongoing industry rationalisation.
But, amid all the change and uncertainty, the industry maintained its sense of community and duty, rallying to help out in times of disaster and getting behind all kinds of causes. Forklift businesses, large and small, also continued working together to improve operator safety and to raise public awareness about the risks.
As we enter a new year, there's no doubt there will be fresh challenges, and if we have learned one thing at Forkliftaction over the past 16 years, it is that forklift folk are as tough as the equipment they work with.
All at Forkliftaction.com hope that we - our own team, our readers, our supporters and the industry as a whole - overcome any obstacles, embrace all opportunities and continue to enjoy the spirit of co-operation that makes this industry so special.
