Forkliftaction.com News was the first to report the troubles at Spanish forklift manufacturer Mecano Continental, and we have been following the developments for some months. It has been a difficult process, with the company failing to provide any information to us - or, indeed, to its distributors and customers.
This week we confirm its closure - again, from non-official sources. But the good news is that parts will still be available through a new business started by the former managing director. And in another development, some of Mecano's engineering expertise will return to the market after a former engineer established a new rough-terrain forklift company and is set to launch his new forklifts soon.
