While the share markets are being buffeted by the fall-out from a couple of banking collapses, it's good to know that the materials handling sector continues to shrug off the impacts.
Even on the stock exchange, listed companies like Hyster-Yale, Terex and Oshkosh are holding their value while other sectors of the market have been battered.
Again, we see the resilience of materials handling - and the huge economic contribution our sector makes. No matter what's happening on the bourses, goods need to be moved - at ports, in warehouses and distribution centres, on production lines and at retail outlets.
So, come rain or shine, we all just keep lifting and carrying.
