As the new year gets under way, there will, of course, be much speculation about what lies ahead. We canvass some of that in our lead story this week.
Past experience, however, has shown that there's not too much point in wondering about the future. Plan as we might, reality has a way of surprising us in the most unusual ways.
If we have to look for a management philosophy for 2022, perhaps the starting point should be the Italian saying popularised in the 1950s Doris Day song:
Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
.
