Miller Homes has painted a forklift pink to raise awareness and money for three popular charities.
The builder’s Teesside team has nominated British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research and Great North Air Ambulance Service as its three charities.
Nick McCluskey, production director, Miller Homes Teesside, says: “We have a great relationship with HMH Civils who are our appointed groundwork contractor on this development and this initiative from them seemed such a good idea. Simply, we hire the forklift truck from HMH Civils, and the hire monies generated throughout our agreement are split three ways between the aforementioned charities.”
The 14 m forklift is used to move product around the Ingleby Barwick development and is a key piece of equipment on a busy and fast-moving construction site.
Gerard May, owner and director of HMH Civils, says: “Charity engagement is very important to us as a business and this initiative started in 2018. Since then, we have raised thousands of pounds for charities through our relationships with customers across The North East, Teesside, Yorkshire and the Humber. Our thanks go to the Miller Homes Teesside team for their commitment, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
