Hermann Richter GmbH & Co celebrates 40 years in the used forklift business this year. The European forklift dealer prides itself on its wealth of industry experience and strong sales and service team.
The company was established in 1968 by Hermann Richter. From a team of two staff members, himself and his wife, it has grown to 40 employees, many of whom have worked there for over 20 years. In 1979, Hermann Richter moved to its permanent headquarters in Stuhr bei Bremen and focused on forklift exports within Europe.
"Hermann Richter was one of the first who focused on used forklifts in Germany. Soon he started to export trucks to neighbouring countries," says Sascha Dormichian, who spearheads the company's global business.
Today, Hermann Richter's core business is the export of used forklifts, selling over 3,000 forklifts each year.
The company's stock of used forklifts widely sold in Europe. |
"We are one of the leading forklift dealers in Europe trading (in) used forklifts," Dormichian says. "Our stock range is producer-independent and we always have over 600 used forklifts in stock and over 100 forklifts in our rental fleet."
Many working at Hermann Richter are multi-lingual, with over 11 languages spoken to facilitate international trade. Forklifts are transported by the company's own deep loaders while machine repairs are undertaken by a team of 12 service engineers at its fully equipped workshop.
Dormichian says the dealer wants to expand its market share and increase trading in spare parts.
