The Haulotte Group has seen its half-year revenue grow slightly from EUR184.5 million (USD244.8 million) in the same period in 2012 to EUR187.2 million (USD248.4 million) as the global market for powered access platforms benefited from growth in the North and South American markets.

The group experienced 62% revenue growth in South America, but the improvement in its rental business was affected by the negative impact of foreign currency in Argentina and the weak South European markets.

Current operating income, excluding exchange gains and losses, amounted to 3.8% of sales compared to 2.8% in 2012.

Net debt amounted to EUR51.8 million (USD68.7 million) at 30 June 2013 and decreased by half compared to 31 December 2012.

The group says it expects a second half similar to the first half of 2013, which will see sales growth between 5 and 10% compared to 2012.
