Forkliftaction News: Prior to this appointment, what has been your biggest achievement?
Corey E. Calla: I have many achievements that I'm very proud of but the biggest achievement would be the creation and development of a 40-plus person sales team focused on customer success and lifecycle management.
Forkliftaction News: What excites you most about the materials handling industry?
Corey E. Calla: The materials handling industry is exciting because everything in life is logistics; whether you are going on a trip, moving furniture around the house, or dropping the kids off at a sports practice. There will always be a need to get products from manufacturing to the point of use. Every company has logistical challenges and they continue to get more complex.
Forkliftaction News: What is the most significant change you have seen in the industry in your time?
Corey E. Calla: The customer's expectation of reduced delivery times and the sophistication of systems, software, and support required to meet those expectations.
Forkliftaction News: What is the biggest opportunity that you see in your new role?
Corey E. Calla: The biggest opportunity I have is to create a customer-centric culture built around quality products, a legacy brand and people. People have always been what makes companies great. I intend to focus the majority of my time on development of key employees to help them achieve their career goals.
Forkliftaction News: Can you share one piece of information about yourself which would surprise our readers?
Corey E. Calla: I own a production company that does lighting and sound production for small to mid-size concert venues. I love music and live entertainment, especially supporting local musicians.
