A Genma hybrid RTGChinese-headquartered material lifting and handling solutions specialists Genma, has four hybrid, rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes enroute to an unnamed Bangladeshi customer.
The first shipment is being delivered in “knocked-down condition” and will be transported a short distance inland after arrival at the port, before they are assembled and commissioned at the customer’s site.
A further 10 hybrid RTGs will be delivered, fully assembled, to a second Bangladeshi terminal owned by the same customer.
The hybrid RTGs will be used as green upgrades for the terminal.
Genma says the first batch of RTGs which have just set sail, were manufactured and began transportation to the customer in seven months.
