Specialist materials handling equipment maker Genkinger has added a multi-purpose maneuverable electric transport vehicle called Sherpa to its portfolio. 

The indoor-outdoor Sherpa is available in several wheelbases, ranging from the Sherpa S with a towing capacity of 3,000 kg on level ground with a load of 200 kg to the Sherpa XL with a towing capacity of 800 kg and a payload of 500 kg.

Genkinger managing director Richard Ludwig says: "Some of our customers asked whether we also offered smaller all-round electric transporters. This is what we are doing from now on, rounding off our portfolio.” 

The Sherpa vehicles, which can tow trailers, could be used for transporting toolboxes or driving parts used for production. 

With an overall width of 60 cm, the Sherpa can fit into a freight elevators.
