Flight Systems Industrial Products ("FSIP"), a manufacturer and re-manufacturer of electric vehicle controls and systems, is proud to announce ISO 9001:2000 certification. ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized standard for 'quality management' that measures an organization's ability to fulfil customer's quality requirements and on-going continuous improvement efforts.
FSIP began the ISO 9001:2000 quality initiative in January 2005 to enhance its internal capabilities and set the stage to branch into new markets.
FSIP received certification in November 2005 by Perry Johnson Registrars.
FSIP (Formally part of Flight Systems Inc.) has been doing business in central Pennsylvania since 1968. In 2003,
FSIP moved from Mechanicsburg to its current location in Carlisle.
FSIP has been a GE Electric Vehicle Control Servicenter since 1998 and most recently has become a Curtis Authorized Servicenter. In 1996
FSIP had 23 employees and now has grown to over 85 employees, employing electronic assemblers, technicians, engineers and support personnel.
Concurrent with expanding the employee count,
FSIP has been expanding into large and more diverse market segments. Barry Bowman,
FSIP President, states,
"These larger markets require a company to have its quality standards in check. FSIP determined ISO 9001:2000 was the most appropriate and recognized standard for these markets".
FSIP management would like to thank all of its employees for their support and dedication to the ISO 9001:2000 program. You can find out more about
