Belgian-headquartered warehouse automation company Movu Robotics has been engaged to install a new system at the French manufacturing plant of Knorr-Bremse which makes braking systems for commercial vehicles.

The new automation system will include 10 atlas pallet shuttles, three elevators and four escala bin shuttles.

Knorr-Bremse France managing director, Stéphane Devulder explains: “At Knorr-Bremse, we are always innovating to keep our manufacturing and logistic processes efficient and reliable, especially in the automotive industry, where precision is key”.

“This advanced installation will feature two powerful systems working together: the Movu atlas, with space for 5,000 pallets managed by 10 shuttles and three elevators and the Movu escala system handling up to 2,500 bins with four shuttles.” The automation system is expected to be fully installed and operational by early 2026.

Movu Robotics’ sales director Francisco Vinals adds: “We’re excited to bring the Movu atlas and escala systems together for Knorr-Bremse”.

“These solutions are designed to operate seamlessly, meeting their demand for reliable low-volume and high-volume part handling,” Vinals continues.
