Toyota model 8FGU30 forklift assists in moving caster.

A pneumatic-tyred Toyota 8FGU30 forklift with 6,000 lb. (2,700 kg) lifting capacity assisted with the movement of a massive set of four casters out of the Hamilton Caster & Manufacturing Co plant.

Along with the forklift, a 30 T. crane was needed.

"Everything about this job was colossal, from the springs to the ball bearings," says Ralph Stampfli, Hamilton Caster's truck team leader.

The manufacturer of heavy-duty industrial casters designed and built four 100,000 lb. (45,000 kg) capacity casters for a federal contractor. A spring-loaded suspension system absorbs shock.

Fully assembled, each caster stands 52 in. (1.3 m) above the factory floor in Hamilton and weighs more than 8,000 lb. (3,600 kg). The system's payload capacity is 200 T.
