Hans H. Meyer GmbH introduces the new
"Fleet-Management-System" for forklift truck attachments.
Apart from the functionality and quality of the products, it is primarily the "Added Values in After Sales" that influence the decision for the purchase of forklift truck attachments which are used today mostly in full maintenance contracts in combination with the forklift truck. Sales Director, Hansjörg Freund comments: "Our new MEYER Fleet-Management-System offers an all-round peace of mind package".
Forklift truck attachments are individual special tools, adapted to customer requirements and often made to measure for special applications. This means it can be costly when they fail. In order to minimise these down time periods, MEYER offers a fast and competent repair service especially, for the beverage industry with a high goods turnover. MEYER in their German central Service Centre now guarantees the repair of certain products within two weeks. Freund explains: "This way the customer can rely 100% on our promise and plan accordingly. We also offer demo and rental units from our extensive fleet."
Rental, Buy-Backs and RefurbishmentFreund emphasizes: "The MEYER Rental-Service complements industry-oriented requirements. During peak time - for instance in the beverage industry in the summer months - we stock an additional number of multi-pallet handlers in our attachment pool at the German Service Centre, which are available on short notice.
The MEYER Trade-in/Trade-back Service offers the purchase of used equipment. This is a solution to the sometimes difficult problem of what to do with an attachment when it has finished the contract. If attachment owner wish to sell an attachment themselves, then MEYER can offer an E-Commerce-Platform on the internet site on which the unit - sometimes after having been overhauled or refurbished - can be quoted for sale to interested parties internationally.
Cost control through transparent spare parts costsThe correct calculation of lifetime cost over the planned period of application - typically of up to five years - is especially important for operators of attachment fleets. For this MEYER offers the Parts-Lifetime-Service. Freund comments: "Our new offer leads to clear cost transparency and optimum planning of a long-term contract. We analyse such a project together with our customer before the contract starts and offer support as a product partner from beginning to end."
In addition the MEYER Service-Check offers the possibility to inspect and adjust the attachment on site by the MEYER Service personnel, available as Basic and Premium options with interesting service packages for different needs.
Cost prevention through instruction and training coursesAn intensive training schedule rounds off the "Fit for Full Service" programme. This includes primarily training for correct and preventative maintenance and safety. MEYER has installed a bespoke training centre at their German head office. External training courses and individual seminars are available.
The MEYER Fleet Management System will be presented at the CeMAT in Hanover 27th - 31st May 2008 (Hall 26 /Stand K10).For more information, contact:
