ProMat 2021 goes virtual
Chicago, IL, United StatesMHI has cancelled its in-person ProMat event in Chicago in April, 2021. The MHI Board determined that due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and the current state and local regulations, it was not possible to hold a live event for attendees and exhibitors.
This will be the first time in ProMat's 35-year history that the in-person expo has been cancelled.
Instead, organisers will hold a virtual event - ProMat Digital Experience (ProMatDX).
In April, 2021, ProMatDX will provide one digital platform where the industry can come together to find manufacturing and supply chain solutions, problem solve, connect with their peers and learn the latest trends and innovations that will take their supply chains to the next level of agility and resiliency.

Multimodal rescheduled
Birmingham, United KingdomAs a result of the directions provided by both Public Health England and the UK government, the organisers of Multimodal have been obliged to reschedule the freight transport, logistics and supply chain management event until 22-24 June, 2021.
Commenting on the decision to further postpone, Robert Jervis, logistics portfolio director, Clarion Events, says: "Whilst we are disappointed to make this decision, we have to place the safety of our customers, attendees, staff and suppliers at the forefront of our thinking, bearing in mind both governmental directions and general public health advice.
"Having canvassed the opinions of a large sample of visitors and exhibitors, it was clear that the pragmatic approach is to further postpone the event in 2021.
"After 14 years, Multimodal has become an important event in the calendars of people on all sides of the supply chain, providing the information, inspiration and contacts that they rely on.
"To keep the market up-to-date with the latest developments, Multimodal Connect Webinars are being held on a monthly basis, leading up to our return to the NEC in June."
