Euroports Rauma in Finland will soon take delivery of five Konecranes Lift Trucks after placing an order earlier in the year.

The port has been a Konecranes customer since 1996; this order of one 10 T and four 16 T forklifts brings the number of Konecranes units in its fleet to 57.

The new machines will continue to build on the port's reputation for expert handling of pulp and paper especially as well as sawn timber. The port is the largest export port of paper in Finland and has a specialised fleet of equipment for safe and careful paper handling that maximises production and minimises damage to the rolls.

Patrik Starck, regional sales director - Europe of Konecranes Lift Trucks, says Rauma wants its machines to come with cutting-edge forklift technology and therefore selected the new C model with the TRUCONNECT system, Konecranes' remote monitoring service.

As fleet manager Petri Viinikkala of Euroports Rauma says, "The TRUCONNECT Remote service means that no matter where the trucks are, we have a clear and precise picture of how they are being operated, and how they are running. We can clearly anticipate any issues, to significantly increase uptime and efficiency of our fleet."
