A warehouse boss who quit after being demoted to forklift driver has been awarded GBP6,096 (USD11,084.90) in compensation.
Andrew Paterson, 35, told a Glasgow employment tribunal he felt "distressed and humiliated" at his loss of status after 18 years and said he had no option but to resign, an Evening Times report said.
Paterson, who was distribution manager with Scot-Nail Ltd, a nail and tool supplier, had raised concerns about health and safety and said his workload was becoming increasingly heavy.
He was told that, with effect from the next day, his brother, the sales manager, would be "running the store" and Paterson was to drive a forklift.
