Clark has moved into Eastern EuropeClark Europe has expanded its presence in Eastern Europe with the appointment of Mecano Valmar as its new authorised dealer for Romania.
Founded in 2003 in Ilfov County, Mecano Valmar started servicing and reconditioning used forklifts until the business expanded after 2016 to the sale and servicing of new vehicles imported from China.
“The partnership with Clark Europe is a great opportunity for us to expand our product offering with high-quality industrial trucks, so that we can offer our customers in Romania first-class products and services in the field of material handling,” Mecano Valmar managing director Valentin Mindru explains.
“We look forward to growing together with Clark.”
Clark Europe president and chief executive officer Rolf Eiten says Mecano Valmar will represent the company “in the best way possible”.
The Romanian appointment is not the only move Clark has made in 2024 to expand its geographic footprint, with Moroccan port handling equipment supplier Techniplus being named an authorised Clark dealer for North Africa in August.
