Clark Forklift Company Ltd, of the Republic of Korea, is partnering with Special Purpose Vehicle Corp (SPVC), of the China National Heavy-Duty Truck Group, to produce forklifts.
The Xinhua News Agency reported SPVC would complete CKD (completely knocked down) assembly of 800 forklifts this year. SPVC is expected to complete CKD assembly of 2000 units and produce 1000 SKD (semi knocked down) units in 2006.
Clark Material Handling Asia's marketing and sales manager J B Lee confirmed the agreement between the two companies but would not disclose details.
