If your company is using internal combustion forklifts and is looking to eliminate forklift emissions, or you use electric forklifts and want to eliminate battery changing stations, Tri-Lift NC, Inc. is proud to offer a solution: BYD Electric Forklifts.

BYD has been innovating battery solutions for industrial vehicles since 1995 and has grown to over 200,000 employees with 30 industrial parks across six continents. This establishes BYD as a major player on the cutting edge of developing electric products, including buses, taxis, cars, consumer electronics and forklifts. BYD boasts Warren Buffet as one of its major stake holders, a man who clearly understands companies on the move with a lot of upside potential.

BYD's primary advantage is their Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. This battery is completely safe and has been thoroughly tested for fire resistance, puncture, crushing, and dropping, never losing its structural integrity. BYD's battery eliminates watering, service or changing stations forever. This creates a safer work environment for employees who will no longer be exposed to the dangers of traditional forklift batteries such as changing stations, cranes, hoists, gases, acids and potential explosions.

The LiFePO4 battery carries a 10-year warranty, charges, from 0% to 100%, in 1.5 hours and will last approximately 15 hours on a single charge. In addition, it can be "opportunity charged" during lunch breaks and downtime to maintain charges. The battery is sealed in a waterproof pack, making it ideal for nearly any indoor or outdoor application.

BYD forklifts come in several configurations and capacities, including 3,000lb. and 4,000lb. capacity solid pneumatic 3-wheel models and four-wheel models up to 10,700lbs. Each is powered by 80V AC drive motors, has regenerative braking to assist in charging, and has a lot of standard equipment not featured by other manufacturers, including: LED lights (front, rear and strobe), 4-way hydraulic valve, rear grab handle with horn and rear-view mirrors.

Standard safety equipment includes cornering speed reduction, ramp hold assist, operator presence sensor and orange seat belt with interlock. There are plenty of options to tailor your BYD forklift to your own operation.

In addition to the 10 year/20,000 hour battery warranty, BYD warranties the drive train for 5 years/10,000 hours and all other components for 18 months/3000 hours.

Tri-Lift NC, Inc. has experienced tremendous interest in BYD products in the region as more companies realize the benefits of replacing internal combustion forklifts or want to eliminate changing stations and the hazards their current electric forklifts can pose.

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
