McGee Storage and Handling staff are now part of Atlanta Fork Lifts
Atlanta Fork Lifts has acquired McGee Storage and Handling for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition will expand Atlanta Forklifts’ suite of products and services.
“With two competencies combined into one enterprise, forklift systems and storage rack solutions can now be synchronised for gains in safety, efficiency, productivity, throughput and space optimisation never achieved through separate vendors,” says Atlanta Fork Lifts chief executive officer Lee Smith.
“The synergies between our two companies are undeniable,” says McGee chief executive officer and chief financial officer Janelle Anderson.
“Both of us have family-based, tight-knit cultures, with closely aligned corporate values and a long-standing history and commitment to the material handling industry.
“Our differences lie only within our chosen field of focus and expertise. As we join forces, our employees, customers, vendors, and partners will only benefit further.”
Diesel crane being converted to hydrogen

The hydrogen powered crane is being deployed at Kobe Port
In what’s believed to be a world first, a diesel rubber-tired gantry (RTG) crane is being converted to hydrogen at a Japanese container terminal, according to a Maritimeprofessional.com report.
The initiative is led by the Kinki Regional Development Bureau in cooperation with Kobe’s Port and Harbor Bureau.
The pilot program is underway at Hanshin Port’s Kobe International Container Terminal (KICT), operated by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL).
