Palfinger opened a new centre in Jordbro
In the wake of the takeover of its Swedish sales partner Hinz three years ago, Palfinger is expanding its network in Sweden with a new sales and service centre in Stockholm.
The new 4,000 sqm centre in Jordbro, a southern suburb of the Swedish capital, offers five service lines.
“It is our strategy to be as close to the customer as possible,” says Gerhard Sturm, Palfinger senior vice president global sales and service. “We want to establish and expand long-term and successful partnerships by further strengthening our position as number one in Sweden.”
HCO launches AI pedestrian detection system

HCO says the system has a 99.99% accuracy rate
Warehouse solutions provider HCO Innovations has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) powered pedestrian detection system for forklifts.
HCO says its AI Pedestrian Detection System has a 10 m range and a 139-degree field of view and a 99.99% accuracy rate.
The system, which can be retrofitted into existing forklift fleets, has a combination of visual and audible alarms to ensures drivers are alerted when danger is imminent.

Speciality tyre manufacturer Gri has clinched three prestigious awards in its home country of Sri Lanka, including an honourable mention in the Most Admired Companies of Sri Lanka 2022.
Gri was also given two merit awards in the Sri Lanka Export Development Board’s Presidential Export Awards.
The third honour was a silver award in the Rubber Tyres and Accessories Sector - Extra Large category in the National Chamber of Exporters Sri Lanka Export Awards.
