Forklift licences in demand in Korea, report
Seoul, South Korea
The Human Resources Development of Korea report was based on a survey
Forklift operator certificates were the preferred government-issued occupational certification among job-seekers in Korea last year, according to a report in the Korea Joongang Daily.
Citing a Human Resources Development of Korea report, the forklift operator licence was the most sought-after by jobseekers, after certifications in Korean food, electrical engineering, information processing and hairdressing.
The agency surveyed 2.17 million people who sat for occupational license exams.
As well as being the most popular overall, forklift operator certification was the number one choice of those seeking certification for self-improvement purposes, while certification in industrial safety was the most popular among those who cited career development as the reason for seeking certification.
