British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) members have voted unanimously not to raise membership fees for next year.

The association's board proposed keeping 2008 membership fees at the same level as this year and members voted unanimously for the proposal at a meeting of BITA's Truck Suppliers Group and Components and Services Group last Tuesday.

BITA secretary general James Clark says the association's good financial stewardship and healthy balance sheet enabled this decision to be made.

BITA is the sole provider of UK industrial truck sales statistics contributed by and made available to association members.

Other membership benefits include:
  • UK, EU and global technical and legal representation
  • Preferential exhibition rates at IMHX
  • Materials handling industry presence
  • Safety and best practice advice
  • Exclusive members-only web pages
  • Access to quality assured thorough examination providers
  • Social events including BITA Ball and Golf Day

Climate change – but this one is good Fork Talk - 6 Dec 2007 (#339) I get reflective at this time of year as the sun sets on the waning days of the past year and dawns on the hopes and anticipations of the future. I like to look at what I did well and not so well to see if I can replicate the good stuff and eliminate or improve on the bad. It appears business and industry have been doing this as well because things seem to be getting better on the safety front.
