Diversified equipment and project services company Bigge has added the Xtreme Manufacturing LLC forklift lines to its sales and leasing operations in 13 locations.
"Many of our rental customers are already familiar with their equipment and have wanted us to carry them," says Joe Nelms, vice president of sales and marketing.
Bigge Crane and Rigging Co has US rental operations in San Leandro, San Jose, Stockton and LaMirada, California; Auburn and Richmond, Washington; Aiken, South Carolina ;and a South American location in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Bigge Equipment Co. has US sales operations in LaMirada; Houston; Salt Lake City; Padrump, Nevada; and Denver.
"We found uses for (Xtreme forklifts) in the crane industry," says Ryan Parker, Bigge marketing manager. In addition, "forklifts are useful in our yards".
Bigge says it is the world's largest Terex crane dealer, sells Terex-made Genie aerial lifts and reach forks and represents more than a dozen other crane brands.
Henry W Bigge established the business as Bigge Drayage Co in 1916. Now, Brock Settlemier is chairman. Weston Settlemier was appointed as president in January 2000 and represents the third generation to manage the family-owned firm.
Xtreme Manufacturing of Las Vegas, Nevada offers 14 models of telescopic reach forklifts, seven types of telehandler lift attachments, portable multi-functional cube structures, loaders and loading ramps.
In addition to the Bigge relationship, Xtreme Manufacturing has dealer alliances with Ahern Rentals Inc of Las Vegas; Crawler Supply Co of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Mortier en Trémie ABL Inc of St-Nicolas, Quebec, Canada; Northern Nevada Equipment of Elko, Nevada; and Skyrider Equipment of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
