The region's biggest exhibition and conference for warehousing, logistics, transportation and services is set to take place in Dubai from 27-29 May, 2007.

Materials Handling & Logistics Middle East 2007 will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The show will attract experts from across the region, as well as from Europe, the Far East and Australia who will converge in the UAE for the three-day trade show. The number of exhibitors is expected to double compared to the 2005 show.

The exhibition, which coincides with rapid growth in the warehousing and transportation industries in the UAE will act as a platform for investors, industry experts and developers to network with potential buyers from across the region.

Materials and Logistics Handling Middle East 2007 will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmend Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and Chairman of Emirates Airline. This year's show is also being held in association with Dubai World Central - Logistics City.

The event is the region's leading trade show for manufacturers and suppliers to meet with high-value buyers of logistic and materials handling services and equipment. The bi-annual trade show and conference help exhibitors to strengthen relationships with existing customers as well as using the event to launch and demonstrate new products and service.

The show also provides opportunities to conduct market research on existing or potential products and services, as well as raising individual brand exposure and monitoring competitor activities.

Aiming at fostering relations and increasing foreign investment in UAE, the Dubai Industrial City is inviting a delegation of German businessmen to come to Dubai and visit the show to explore new feasible investment opportunities in the region.

Exhibitors providing the latest products and developments in equipment, conveyor systems, commercial vehicles, cranes, DP systems for logistics and transportation, fork lifts trucks, Free Zone equipment, systems technology, freight, cargo, and couriers are taking part in Materials Handling and Logistics Middle East.

The show will be particularly beneficial to those looking to provide products and services to the Middle East, Africa and Subcontinental market place.

Investments in Dubai have created a huge potential market within the UAE. Year on year there has been a 20 percent growth in general cargo and Dubai Ports Authority, DPA and DPI Terminals have merged to create one of the largest port operators in the world; DP World. The UAE's merchandise exports is $112.5 billion US dollars and the country ranks as the 24th top global exporter, above India, Thailand and Australia.

Materials Handling & Logistics Middle East Exhibition and Conference will offer traders, manufacturers and suppliers cutting edge solutions in warehousing, transportation and logistics from 27-29 May 2007, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Part of the 2007 show will also be dedicated to a live demonstration of fork-lift trucks from Toyota, Daewoo, Linde and BT.
