Daniel Rowlands

Daniel Rowlands, manager for fixed plant at SIMEC Mining, will be the guest speaker at the next ICHCA forum in Adelaide next week.

Rowlands will talk about Arrium, which went into voluntary administration in 2016 before being acquired by GFG Alliance, in an address titled "From Surviving to Thriving".

SIMEC Mining, as it is now known, has ambitious plans including installing considerable dispatchable renewable energy, investing in mining and the Whyalla Steelworks, along with exploring major port and infrastructure developments.

The event, on March 21, will be held at the Lakes Resort Hotel, Brebner Drive, West Lakes.

ICHCA Australia, the local affiliate of the International Cargo Handling Coordination Association (ICHCA) represents the freight movement and logistics sectors.
