Archbold Logistics wins significant contract. |
Palletforce member Archbold Logistics has won a GBP500,000 (USD774,000) national distribution contract with pound store supplier OTL.
OTL, based near Leeds, supplies major pound stores and supermarket chains in the UK, and will be working mainly with Archbold's Manchester depot.
"This is a significant new contract for us and we are delighted to be working with OTL, a leader in their field," says Archbold CEO Xavier Archbold. "We have worked with them in the past on some specific projects and undertook a big and complex project moving their warehouse stock, which went very well."
Archbold explains that OTL had been working with another major transport company but was impressed with the quality of service Palletforce offered.
Archbold Logistics, which covers parts of Greater Manchester and Coventry for Palletforce, is a family-run firm that was set up in 1918. Today, it operates more than 150 vehicles and has bases in Manchester, Leeds, Nuneaton and Coventry.
Palletforce CEO Michael Conroy says: "Once again, the quality service our members are known for has secured another business win for the Palletforce network, and by working together, we continue to thrive despite the fragile economic conditions."
Founded in 2001, Palletforce claims to be the UK's and Europe's leading member-owned pallet network. It has over 100 depots and a GBP30 million (USD46 million) state-of-the-art distribution hub in Burton-on-Trent.
