Automation engineering specialist Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) has launched a new robotic system to assist automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS).
The robotic induction system, known as ROBiN, uses artificial intelligence, machine vision and intelligent algorithms to improve the process of removing and organising layers of products on pallets.
ROBiN can handle varying product shapes, sizes and colours.
“ROBiN’s unique and adaptable design supports various case dimensions and operates effectively without needing to know in advance the count of cases per layer or their precise placement and alignment,” says AMT president Craig Salvalaggio.
