 Ameise FTG 1.8/2.5/3.0 |
Jungheinrich has halted sales of its entry-level Ameise range globally.
A company spokesman tells
Forkliftaction News that "in the course of our regular quality control, we determined that products in our Ameise series deviate from prevailing safety standards".
The affected products are CPYD 18/25/30, CPCD 18/25/30, FTG 1.8/2.5/3.0 and FTD 1.8/2.5/3.0.
"Based on the results gathered from technical inspections, we have decided on a temporary and orderly global decommissioning of the forklift trucks, and have effected a stop on sales until further notice," the spokesman adds.
He notes that Jungheinrich is aware that this decision might be inconvenient for the affected customers and apologises for this step.
"The protection of our customers and their employees is our top priority. The company is currently working on finding a sustainable solution," he concludes.
Jungheinrich promotes the Ameise range as an "entry-level" line. Named after the original Jungheinrich brand from the late 1940s, the Ameise range consists of electric pedestrian trucks, electric stackers, diesel forklifts and LPG versions.
The company has not specified the exact cause of its concerns.
