Construction of the warehouse has reportedly already started
Amazon is planning a logistics warehouse and a data centre in Maracanaú, in the region of Fortaleza.

According to Diario do Nordeste, the global online retailer is close to concluding an agreement with the local government, although construction of the warehouse has reportedly already started.

Amazon is looking to hire distribution centre staff, and vacancies for data roles have been posted on LinkedIn.

Amazon already has several distribution centres in Brazil and a data centre in São Paulo.
