Manufacturers' representative Sun Marketing Group adds the aerial lift products of Snorkel in the south-east states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.

"Sun Marketing is the ideal partner for us in this region," says Mike Stevenson, sales manager in Nashville, Tennessee for Snorkel's south-central and Tennessee-west territories.

In addition to Snorkel, Sun Marketing Group represents more than 23 product lines in construction, industrial landscaping and agricultural equipment and tools including Sullair Corp compressors, Subaru industrial products, Bartell Morrison Inc concrete finishing equipment, Graco Inc pressure washers and paint sprayers and Sakai America Inc compaction equipment.

Sun Marketing Group is based in Davenport, southwest of Orlando, Florida and employs 10 field representatives in covering eight south-east states and the island-countries of the Caribbean region.

Manufacturers' representatives Benjamin & Associates, the Kirkland Co and South Central Agents merged in 1994 to form Sun Marketing Group. Founding managing partners Bill Benjamin, Corry Oakes and Dick Smith continue in their key roles.

"The aerial lift market in North America is experiencing high growth," notes Smith. "The Snorkel machines really suit our customers because they are simple, reliable and durable."

Snorkel's North American headquarters is in Elwood, Kansas, with additional product support facilities in Fresno, California. The company also has production facilities in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and China. Snorkel has direct sales operations in North America, Australia, Japan and New Zealand.

Snorkel makes self-propelled, towable and push-around aerial lifts, including diesel and electric scissor lifts, mast lifts, telescopic boom lifts and articulating booms, and reports within the powered access division of publicly traded Tanfield Group plc of Washington, England.
