For all industrial sectors using forklift trucks, aerial platforms, construction equipment, airport tractors, etc…

Subsidiary of the American Group EControls, world leader in gas carburation for industrial equipment.

IMPCO Technologies is the world leader in its market, with over 70 years' expertise in the design and sale of alternative carburation systems for industrial engines. The company's know-how is particularly well-suited to mobile handling equipment, including forklift trucks. "Our knowledge of these machines has enabled us to develop a complete range of electronic products enabling fleet managers to improve safety and reduce operating costs.”

Here is a look at some of the most technologically advanced safety solutions available (active or passive).

Optafleet IMPCO Technologies

Fleet Management System: OptaFleet

Compatible with all makes of forklift truck, whether electric or internal combustion, OptaFleet makes controlling your fleet easier and more precise than ever.

An electronic key identifies the driver and authorises the forklift to be started up, after the fleet manager has assigned driving authorisations to each forklift.

An optional screen displays a pre-start-up checklist defined in advance.

Without having to install any software or specific infrastructure (wi-fi or other terminals), a simple Internet platform provides real-time access to a full range of information, including real time hour-meters (3 possible), measurement of equipment utilisation rates, management of maintenance periods and driving authorization, hourly commitment of the fleet, and some more.

Finally, with its optional shock sensor, alerts can be sent indicating the direction and intensity of the shock suffered by the machine.

Speed Limiter: OptaSpeed

Fully adjustable, it allows you to select and control the maximum forward speed of the trucks, while maintaining engine power for traction and lifting. This increases safety during the work phase and reduces fuel consumption.

The Safety Radar system is another solution that lets you automatically limit the speed of your vehicles as soon as they enter in buildings.

Fast driving speed outside, low speed inside.

This automatic speed restriction improve safety in your working environment.

Idle Limiter

The IMPCO Idle Limiter (IIL) automatically shuts down the engine of materials handling equipment after a predetermined period of excessive idling.

This will protect against excessive wear and tear and reduce engine hours, pollution, fuel consumption and therefore rental costs.

See Better, Work Safer: OptaView

A complete range of vision cameras (rear, side, blind spot, fork, etc…).

Help to avoid collisions and unnecessary damage, increased driver efficiency, improved driver ergonomics, ideal in confined areas.

Pedestrian Detection System: OptaSafe

Is protecting your employees a priority for you? The solution: cameras with artificial intelligence (AI).

This solution combines an on-board camera with AI. Capable of distinguishing between pedestrians and objects in OptaSafe PDS is one of the most advanced pedestrian safety systems on the market today.

3 detection zones can be defined with a detection range of up to 12 m and a horizontal viewing angle of 140°, guaranteeing optimum safety.
