Armor Equipment is a full-service distributor and maintenance center for private and municipal refuse and street sweeper customers. Originally located in St. Louis in 1970, Armor distributes a full line of new and used equipment, including Heil refuse trucks, Tymco street sweepers, Sewer Equipment Trucks and Trailer Jetters, ODB Xtreme Vac trash / debris & leaf collection units, containers and compactors. The parts department is stocked with new OEM and aftermarket parts for all types of vehicles!

Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose & repair compactors, balers, conveyor belts, street sweepers, water jetting equipment and televising equipment.
Occasional (sometimes overnight) travel to customers locations to install compactors and recycling equipment as needed.
Make repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-work.
Perform warranty repairs and complete related documents as instructed by the company and supervisor.
Advise supervisor of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc.
Thoroughly and neatly document information related to the job and your work.
Submit documentation in a timely manner, as required by the company, supervisor.
Accurately account for all labor hours on work order and daily timecard and submit as required by management.
Accurately account for all parts and supplies on work order tickets, PM sheets, etc.
Provide the parts, service, and sales departments the needed information to provide the right solutions for the job.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, customer facilities, and shop.
Maintain company tools in working order and return them to their proper place in the shop after use.
Keep up to date with new equipment and advances in diagnostic techniques and repairs.
Adhere to all Company Policies and Work Rules.
Active participation in meetings and safety program.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Skills
Job Requirements:
Strong Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, electrical systems (Both AC and DC).
Perform welding (both SMAW and MIG).
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Personal ownership of tools to complete required tasks.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to complete paperwork timely and accurately.
Professional and courteous customer relations skills and phone etiquette.
Proficient computer skills or the aptitude and willingness to learn how to use a computer and software.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Positive attitude and ability to successfully work in a team environment.
Functional capacity to cope with pressure, multiple projects, and frequent interruptions.
Regular and prompt attendance.
Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation.

Working Conditions: Hours will be 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime and overnight travel may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
