As a Material Handling Cost Estimator, you are responsible for working with our Sales team and customers, preparing quotes and cost estimates.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare price quotes for material handling type equipment such as lift trucks, personnel carriers, sweepers, and scrubbers and associated items such as attachments, batteries, chargers, service agreements, leases, etc.
Prepare price quotes for engineered products such as racking, conveyors, shelving, warehouse and safety products, etc.
Prepare price quotes and estimates by gathering proposals, specifications, blueprints, and related documents and using programs, software, and price pages.
Work with field sales representatives to understand and identify requirements by studying specifications, blueprints, RFQs, and related documents.
Compute costs by analyzing supplier costs, labor, material, and time requirements.
Review estimates and proposals to insure accuracy.
Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information using Excel, Word, and other like software.
Order products and follow up as needed.
Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.
Requirements / Skills
Job Requirements:
Well-developed verbal and interpersonal skills required to maintain favorable customer relations.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
High degree of responsibility.
Excellent problem solving, judgment making and organizational skills.
Ability to handle several tasks and projects simultaneously.
Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation.
Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle.
Working Conditions: Work hours are flexible and may exceed a 40-hour work week as customer needs require. Some overnight travel and weekend work. Site work on job-site locations to include existing operations and new construction sites.
