how can I decode the serial number of a Linde forklift to figure out what year it is?

ok, thanks that helps a bit but how do I find what letters represent what year?

It is the letter after the series in the serial #. On most sit down trucks the series start with a 3. For example, the serial # could be 324C..... the seres is 324 and C signifies the year. Another example is H2X393U... where the series is 393 and the year is signified by the U.
