Yale MPB040 Pallet Jack Stuck In Reverse

We Have A Older Yale MPB040 Pallet Jack ~ 97' Vintage
No Motor Controller Just A Large Resistor / Transformer ~ 18" Long On The Left Hand Side
Unit Operates Fine In Forward, will go in All Speeds Starts, Stops Etc
If You Hit The Estop Button Or Try Going in reverse The Unit Takes Off and Will Not Respond To The Hand Controls You Either Have To Release The Handle Or Turn The Unit Off With The Key.
We Tried Replacing The Switch For fwd & Reverse In The Handle No Avail
We Tried Replacing The Little Relay By The Contacts No Help Either
We Swapped Wires On The Contact and Then The Opposite Happens Instead Of Reverse Its Stuck In Forward.
Thanks For The Help

prentice is right. you need to reset the tillar after an anti-pin situation. i would also check the tillar wiring loom for breaks in continuity. there are a few weak spots ,at the bottom of the tillar and where the cable comes up through the middle back to the main frame. i,ve seen a few.

Hello Howitt, I am sure it is suppose to go full forward when the belly button e-switch on the top of the Handel is activated. its a safety feature to stop someone from getting pinned buy the truck. you have to release the handle in the upright position or turn the key switch off/on to reset the drive system. You may have some dirty or stuck fwd/rev contact assemblies. ( Usually caused buy low battery volts)You may also have some wires mixed up recheck and triple check wiring.
