YALE forklift (ERP25ALF V2145 ) with only Steering function and with error code 06 , So I had Changed Accelerator Pot according to Manual , the Error turned to 23 and 24 and then i had Changed the Contactor Tips and I got the Drive Function also. Now the there is No error Code on the Display, But Lift Function is not getting.Can you Please Suggest me ? I had Checked the Battery and the Connections to the Lift Controller. There is No output from the Lift Controller. (Lift Controller Make : GE )

The PA3 terminal and PB3 terminal is having 5V , Lift Controller is of GE , (IC3645LXCD1), and I am having LX handset EVC ,But the Cable is not matching ? can some one tell how to design the Cable? So that I can decode the error Code in the Controller. And Can Any One tell me the 5 Cable signals that I described in my previous post are correct?
yeah edward your right, dont know what i was thinking there other than to be safe. be kinda hard to load up a drive system that way DOH! whoops :o)
of course if his parking brake is good he could set that and it should hold good enough ;o)
swoop, if you jack up the truck, then you don't have resistance against the drive motor, even if you are in 1a. (and a drive motor stalled dead stop for more than 3 to 5 seconds with full battery voltage is likely to have armature [and thus the commutator bars] expand [raise] so that the brushes jump in their holders as it runs, which is what causes a lot of electric forklift drive motors to sound like they have "cards in the spokes of a kids bicycle". if you can not work the hydraulics, then a load bank from a battery company is the answer to test the battery voltage drop under load.
my "W.A.G." money is on a bad connection right at the plug connector to the controller, since he gets no error codes, but no operation and has signal up to the controller (I ought to look up or ask what controller is fitted in this particular unit)
yes testing the volt drop across the battery in the drive function is not accurate unless you put the truck in a stall or bypass mode which is not advisable. The reason being is during the scr or beginning range of the drive function the voltage is variable and not a large draw on the battery, the draw on the battery is only high when the truck goes into 1A bypass mode which then is a direct draw across the battery from the drive motor.
You can do it this way but make sure you jack the drive wheels off the floor, block up the truck too.
Since you say the hydraulics are not working i guess that way of testing volt drop is not possible unfortunatly, otherwise i would say use the hydraulics instead of the drive system.
checking the voltage drop during driving is both dangerous and does not show anything worth reading*. you must check the voltage drop when the hydraulics are fully extended and 'stalled', or use a load bank built for this.
you need a [high amps] load against the motor to load [high amps] the battery
* traction motor currents change from being a driving force (a motor) to being a driven force (generation of current) and currents like flyback and regen currents switch at way to fast a rate to make reading with a meter to not be of any value at all, imnsho.
As this unit has a lift controller, and you seem to have proper signal from the hydraulic valve switch/pots to the controller, I would want to confirm the input is on the proper place and then go into checking the controller, setup and operation.

The truck is of 72 V system , it has 36 cells. And only 1 Volt drop during the Drive Function.

can i assume this truck is an 80v truck? or is it 72v?
All the specs i come across for this model state an 80v system.
If this is the case your battery is not ok, it is discharged or has bad cells and could very well be the cause of your errors.
I had checked the Battery , its perfectly OK , and I get 74 Volts ,I had Checked the Wiring between Actuators and Controller. 5 cables are going from actuator circuit to the Controller ,
1) battery +ve Line
2) cable 1 = Constant 4.8 V (no variation )
3) cable 2 = Constant 4.8 V (no variation )
4 ) cable 3 =In this line (0-5V ) variation present (the Variation is present ,when lift or tilt or side shift lever is actuated )
5) battery -ve
Now the Drive and Steering function is Proper , but no lift or tilt or Sideshift
SEM = Separately excited motor, motor will have 2 large cables and 2 smaller field cables, GE controller box will be a sealed unit. sometimes called SX.
if you try and lift and do not see any codes (and this ?has a dash? that will show codes, or you have the handset connected) but no lifting, I would expect it to be a bad connection between the hydraulic control valve actuators and the driver or controller box so it was not seeing the connection that would indicate lifting was selected.
Where dose the BDI gauge read, in the green in the amber or in the red. And what is the specific gravity reading of the battery,

What type of GE system is it ie 100 LX is it a SEM type.

I think you need to check out the battery discharge indicator as it may be locked in lift lock out or the discharge indicator may be faulty.
