wont run right

when starting will idol but thats it no response from accelerator
then stalls. pedal is ok. anything to help i have no service manual and the engine light is on as well

Check fuses first if you haven't already. Check for wiring damage in following locations.
-- Left of air filter housing the harness sometimes rubs through against the side cover and shorts or breaks.
----Open or loose wiring near the electronic throttle or pedal wiring and plugs.
---- assure the harness which is routed over the transmission housing has not rubbed through.
