Lift isnt that new anymore but still having growing pains
Had to add brake fluid the other night as the light came on and had to remove the front dash to do it. A flexible hose on a funnel might work better - you could squeeze it in but consider putting a hinged flap on the dash for an easy way into add fluid.
Visited the London Yale outlet/service centre last week and found out that they were the one's who adjusted our forklift to get more glide. In fact one of the service people there had read the posts on the this web site that I had written. I am doing my best to get the pass word to get the forklift program friendly for the operators but my requests so far have not worked which is sad as this machine is adjustable and is a shame it can't be setup by the operators to suit their tastes then be changed back to suit others. I will continuue to try in gentle ways to achieve this end. Why have a wonderful feature like this and not use it?
Well I am glad they took care of the unit for you , they can adjust your fingertip controls also , but more likely then not , I am thinking your guys might need to get used to the new fingertip controller , since this is all new compared to the push/pull lever controls. Please keep us informed if you have any more issues , we would like to make sure everyone loves the new units.
Went on vacation last week and came back to hear the new Yale was adjusted by Pro - Lift in about ten minutes and we have drift! The controls that the fingers work tend to put things down heavy yet but as it is a new forklift it is a work in progress. If anyone read my last post and lent a helping hand to get this forklift more drift I thank you. Nitro
Well, Pro Lift showed up and did what they could but there is no difference. You have to place your left foot lightly on the brake to get more glide. Take your foot off the gas and it still jerks to a stop. We were told that there are outstanding issues with adjustments to the forklift. Has anyone made adjustments to this new forklift? Is there something that is being missed? Seeing how this is a new forklift there is bound to be growing pains any help would be great, thanks Nitro
Wow! I guess I'm going to have fun explaining myself next week at work! Thank you for your concern I didn't expect this response so fast but if this topic does come up hopefully a good frank talk with all the operators and management will address any concerns we have about this lift truck. Thanks Nitro
Hi Nitro,
Just a quick clarification concerning your observations of the new Yale Veracitor which was recently delivered to your employer. Further to the comments of 'craig n', the Veracitor's leading edge design characteristics are such that you can dial in specific performance parameters, which was done as per your employers request, such as ADS (Auto Deceleration System), this reduces brake pedal usage and operator fatigue. The same can be said for acceleration and hydraulic controls, which again were adjusted as per your employer's request. We confirmed with your employer yesterday and they do not foresee any changes in the original settings. One last thing, Pro-Lift is not the dealer for Hyster and/or Yale but I agree with you, 'they're good lads'. I invite you to call me at anytime to further discuss, my name is Don Martindale and I am the GM with Yale Industrial Trucks Ontario, Toronto's location @ 905-851-6620. Thank you.
Pro - Lift is the local dealer, sales rep for Yale and Hyster they're good lads, thanks Nitro
Thanks, I'll be sure to bug the boys at Pro-Lift good to hear from you
The new Yale is the same as the new Hyster units. The issue you are having is they have the setup wrong on the truck , have the yale dealer come out and reset it to your liking , the travel can be set to stop quickly, or give you a long coast pattern ,it is all in the setup of the computer controls , if they are not willing to do it , the hyster dealership there can also do that for you , as to the power issue the new unit more then likely has the mazda vs the old units with GM.power...if the dealer works with you there is no reason he can not make the new unit perform to your liking.
enjoy
